AtlasCT a semifinalist of the 2008 Global LBS Challenge AtlasCT move up to the final judging of the 2008 NAVTEQ® Global LBS Challenge™ as a semifinalist in the Social Networking category for the European division. AtlasCT’s application cometogethr is a location-based social networking application that lets you join and create groups of people with mutual interests, view their location on the map, contact or meet them and share content. No more constantly updating your buddy list, every new member of your groups is instantly displayed on the map both on mobile device and website. The Challenge is an annual competition designed to stimulate the LBS industry by encouraging application developers from around the world to build innovative location-based service (LBS) applications that work with portable devices using wireless technology and NAVTEQ maps. Over 316 companies registered for this year's Challenge globally, of which twelve advanced to the final judging in the European division, which will be held during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. Moving to the final round of the Challenge establishes AtlasCT’s position as a leading developer of location-based social networking applications.
AtlasCT releases version 3.0 of AtlasWeb SDK package In accordance with its commitment to constantly expand its mapping platform services, AtlasCT releases a new version of the JavaScript based AtlasWeb™ Software Development Kit (SDK), version 3.0. The new version implements Object Oriented Programming, with its well known benefits of flexibility and simplicity for application development. AtlasWeb SDK 3.0 provides enhanced functionality comparing to the previous version and offers a variety of new features. Among the highlights of the new version are: multiple maps display, hybrid map display, resizable map display during runtime, improved address entry functionality, enhanced routing queries, rich map overlay content (text, photos, video, links) in HTML format and display external data layers on the map in XML format. The new 3.0 version supports wider selection of common browsers including Microsoft Internet Explorer®, Firefox®, Opera™ and Safari™. The additional features and the enhanced functionality result in better user experience in the course of map navigation and geographic queries.
AtlasCT a category winner of the 2007 Global LBS Challenge
AtlasCT won the NAVTEQ® Global LBS Challenge™ as Social Networking Application category winner for the European region. AtlasCT’s winning application is named reLive!. It is a unique and handy leisure application, which allows you to take photos and write notes along your trip route, and seamlessly link them to their locations on the map. Later on, you and your family/friends can replay your trip on the website, view the trip route, photos and notes on a map in their authentic locations.
