AtlasWeb™ Platform
Overview AtlasWeb™ platform provides geospatial capabilities over the Internet. It enables developing applications, displaying maps, performing geographic queries and other location based functionality. It is an integrated set of products designed for mapping and location usage. The AtlasWeb platform key elements are AtlasNET™, AtlasWeb SDK and Map Client. The AtlasNET is a map server, the core element of the platform, the AtlasWeb SDK is a JavaScript™ based developing package and the Map Client is a Flash based map viewer. Each one of these elements is the best of its breed and contributes to the Platform high performance in displaying enhanced geographic information on the web. The platform supports most common browsers in a variety of operating systems. Due to the Flash based map viewer, the platform supports almost any client without the need to install plug-ins. The AtlasWeb platform offers a complete solution for organizations and businesses with web presence who want to integrate mapping and location-based capabilities on their websites to enhance the portfolio services offered to their customers. The AtlasWeb platform utilizes unique and innovative technologies which reduce dramatically the size of the mapping data transmitted to the client by more then 85% (comparing to raster GIF maps at the same resolution), enabling faster map navigation and better user experience.
