AtlasNET
Overview AtlasNET™ is an Internet server that provides mapping capabilities via HTTP. The server is available as a stand-alone server for website mapping applications or as a remote server optimized to supply fast and extensive API for application developers in the web and mobile LBS market. The AtlasNET is the core component in every GIS application and mapping solution supplied by AtlasCT. It supports producing interactive maps in vector and raster formats and a variety of geospatial features such as address matching, geocoding, points-of-interest (POIs), polygons managing, geofencing and routing. Maps display is available on large selection of platforms that are connected to the Internet. The server implements advanced and unique technologies which turn it to be one the world fastest map servers. The AtlasNET sever can perform a variety of geospatial tasks due to its flexible architecture. It can be utilized as a map sever, providing map requests or it can be utilized as a geocode server providing geocoding (address search) and reverse geocoding queries. It can also be utilized as a route server providing routing requests, driving directions and voice guidance. In addition, it can be utilized as a layers server providing content of dynamic layers such as weather forecast, traffic congestion and of static layers such as points-of-interest (POIs). It can as well provide information of unique customer layers. Dividing geospatial functionality of a GIS system among several servers increases its performance and improves its availability. For more information about functionality and architecture refer to the AtlasNET White Paper.
