AtlasCT releases version 3.0 of AtlasWeb™ SDK an advanced package for Internet-based GIS applications development

Ramat Gan, Israel, June 26, 2007 – AtlasCT, a developer and provider of worldwide mapping solutions both for the Web and mobile marketplace, is announcing the release of version 3.0, the newest version of AtlasWeb™ Software Development Kit (SDK) an advanced package for Internet-based GIS applications development.

AtlasWeb SDK is a JavaScript based set of functions which enables mapping capabilities for web applications. It provides high flexibility in developing customized mapping applications over the web. The AtlasWeb SDK package is specially designed for web developers. It contains ready for use Java classes for easy and quick application building.
The new 3.0 version implements Object Oriented Programming, with its well known benefits of flexibility and simplicity for application development.

Version 3.0 provides additional features and enhanced functionality, the highlights are:
  • Multiple maps display, support independent display of several maps on the same page
  • Hybrid map display, map overlaid on aerial and satellite images
  • Resizable map display during runtime, no need to refresh the page
  • Full screen map display without any affect on performance
  • Smooth map navigation enables continues map visualization
  • Improved address entry functionality including free form address finding, autosuggest list and spelling correction
  • Enhanced routing query including multiple destination route and route preferences set (shortest, fastest, pedestrian, toll free, special)
  • Complete information on route segments including distance, direction and turning point
  • Rich map overlay content (text, photos, video, links) in HTML format
  • Display external data layers on the map in XML format
  • Support for wider selection of common browsers including Microsoft Internet Explorer®, Firefox®, Opera™ and Safari™       
  • Online comprehensive documentation including full explanations and application samples

The additional features and the enhanced functionality result in better user experience in the course of map navigation and geographic queries.
