ABmaps Mobile
Overview ABmaps Mobile application is a map client off-board application based on Java™ ME. It is developed by using the AtlasMobile™ SDK as part of the AtlasMobile platform. It utilizes unique and advance technologies, which enable fast interactive maps viewing and mapping services. The application offers superior quality online vector maps specially designed for small size screen, using latest graphic technologies such as anti-aliased texts and advanced rendering algorithms.
The mobile application can run on mobile devices which support Java™ ME and are Internet enabled. Java ME is the most wide spread platform adopted by all major mobile phone vendors worldwide. More than 1.2 Billion devices worldwide (8 of every 10 mobile handsets are shipped with Java, source: Ovum, 2007). The maps are streamed online to the mobile phone and enable interactive zooming and panning.
No maps have to be installed on the mobile phone, only the application itself. The maps are downloaded to the device from the map server upon request as a result of user actions.
The application enables you to get detailed street map and extensive geographic information online, anywhere, anytime.
